IMAT in Ankara – Preparing for a Medical Degree?

IMAT is another professional English exam, aimed at people applying to Medical Schools for undergraduate degrees in medicine. Planning to become a doctor? IMAT may be what you need. It is mainly used by a number of leading universities in Italy to assess critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and scientific knowledge, in addition to English language proficiency. The universities that use the IMAT exam as part of their admissions process include the University of Bari Aldo Moro, University of Milan, University of Pavia, University of Rome Tor Vergata, University of Rome La Sapienza, and the University of Turin. Students who wish to study medicine at these universities must achieve a minimum score on the IMAT in order to be considered for admission. Is IMAT the right test for you?

It is the main test for acceptance into many medical schools. If you are aiming for one of these courses then IMAT is definitely a good choice, but we are happy to answer questions and offer advice.

Is it good value for money?

The IMAT opens the door to a high paying career, so in that sense it is a good investment. The test was offered at 28 test centers in 22 countries, and more than 9,000 students took the exam in 2021. One of the popular tests for medical academic study. If you are applying to medical schools in universities IMAT is often required. This means IMAT is trusted and has great value in enabling access to specialist medical education courses.

What is it?	The Erasmus+ OLS exam is an online language assessment test designed for European citizens participating in the Erasmus+ exchange program, to measure their language proficiency in the language of instruction or the language of the host country.
What is it used for?	The ERASMUS+ OLS exam, it is a language assessment tool used by the European Commission to evaluate the language proficiency of students and staff who participate in mobility programs, such as Erasmus+. The exam assesses reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in various languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and more.

How is the test scored?	The Erasmus+ OLS exam follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) proficiency levels, so you score is reported using the CEFR descriptors for each level. The minimum score is therefore A1, and the highest score is C2.
What is a good ERASMUS+ OLS score?	B1 - B2 is intermediate, and functional for travel and interaction with native English speakers. C1 - C2 is a good score, meaning you are fully fluent and able to use English at a similar level to native speakers.
	Keep in mind that these are just indicators, and will not prevent you from joining an Erasmus+ mobility activity.

What are the alternatives?

There are no direct alternatives, the ERASMUS+ OLS test is part of the ERASMUS+ European programme. When applying to participate, other language proficieny tests which correspond to the CEFR may also be acceptable, such as IELTS, PTE, Cambridge CA or FCE, and many more.
