Askeri personel için ilgili dil standardı STANAG 601’dir. İngilizce NATO’nun ana iletişim dilidir. Bundan dolayı her operasyonel çalışanın belirli bir seviyede iletişim kurabilmek için belirli bir dil yeteneğine sahip olması beklenir.
