GRE in Ankara – Preparing for a Master degree course?
GRE is a higher level exam aimed at people who wish to study for a Master degree, usually in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) discipline. As with GMAT, it tests your logic and analytical skills. These tests are more interested in how you think than in what you know. It does check your grammar and vocabulary, but in much more advanced ways. For these reasons it is even more important to get some expert help with your preparation. If you are planning on taking or re-taking the GRE test, we would love to help you. GRE is one of our strongest focus areas. We have helped many people to pass the GRE in Ankara, and also helped many people get places in Turkish or foreign universities. We have a number of successes in sending students to universities in Europe, the USA, the UK, and Canada.
Is GRE the right test for you?
It is the main test for acceptance into any non-MBA Master degree course, especially for STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) courses. If you are aiming for any of these courses then GRE is definitely the best choice, but we are happy to answer questions and offer advice. GRE is also accepted for MBA courses, but only a very small percentage compared with GMAT.
Is it good value for money?
The GRE General Test is delivered at more than 1,000 test centers in over 160 countries. It is offered as a computer-delivered test year-round, usually 3 times each month, at most locations around the world. It is also offered as a paper-based test up to three times a year in areas where computer-delivered testing is not available. The GRE is accepted in most of the top universities in the world. Every year more than 350,000 candidates take the test. GRE is one of the most popular tests for higher level academic study. If you are applying to universities, especially for the higher quality ones, GRE is often required. This means GRE is trusted and has great value in enabling access to specialist business education courses.

What is a good GRE score? | A good score is whatever the University you have applied to is asking you to achieve. It doesn’t matter what other people score, it’s all about you against the test. The GRE test is calibrated to provide an objective test of your ability across analysis of complex English and maths skills with relevance to the type of research papers undertaken on a Masters Degree course. Like most tests, the GRE is designed to have an approximately normal distribution. The majority of test takers will therefore score around 150. Excellent Scores : Verbal : 163 - 170 Quantitative : 165 - 170 Writing : 5.0 - 6.0 Get more than 163-170 and you are in the elite top ten percent of GRE test takers. With a score in this range, any University in the world would consider your application. Good Scores : Verbal : 158 - 162 Quantitative : 159 - 164 Writing : 4.5 This is where the majority of our students aim for. It is a solid result, in the top twenty-five percent of test takers, demonstrating good all round ability, and accepted by most of the top universities. Basic Acceptable Scores : Verbal : 152 - 158 Quantitative : 153 - 158 Writing : 4.0 This score puts you in the top fifty percent of test takers. If your aim is not academic excellence, but more about getting to a particular country, then a score in this range will enable you to attend a wide range of quite reasonable universities. Low Scores: Verbal : 151 or below Quantitative : 152 or below Writing : 3.5 or below This a below average score. If you are accepted with a score in this range, it is likely that the Masters Degree you study for will not be worth very much after you graduate. There are plenty of universities accepting people with these scores, but don’t expect too much for your money. This table shows the scaled GRE scores, and a percentile ranking to explain where your score is relative to the general population of GRE test takers. |

What are the alternatives? | If the University wants you to pass an exam, there are no direct alternatives. A GMAT has many of the same components, but with a different scoring system, so may be acceptable. Some Universities may also offer their own test. |
